AnEnvironmental Laboratory Analyst is responsible for testing environmental samples to determine the presence of pollutants and other contaminants. They analyze samples using specialized equipment and techniques, playing a critical role in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Sample Analysis:
  Analyze various types of samples, including process water, coal, fuel oil, and compliance water samples.
• Environmental Documentation:
  Maintain accurate records, permits, and documentation required for environmental compliance and reporting.

Qualifications

• Education:
  Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or Environmental Sciences.
• Experience:
  Several years of experience performing laboratory analysis; familiarity with EPA methods or environmental testing is a plus.
• Technical Skills:
  Proficiency with laboratory testing equipment and adherence to safe laboratory practices.
• Communication:
  Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical information and compliance requirements.
