Security Officer - Armed Patrol

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security‑related incidents and maintaining a visible presence.

Pay Rate: $21.75 / Hour

• Thu 08:00 AM – 05:00 PM

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, following site‑specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Maintain a visible presence to help deter unwanted activity and provide a sense of security‑related support to the community.
• Document and report incidents, observations, and/or suspicious activity according to Allied Universal and site requirements.
• Work collaboratively with local law enforcement and emergency responders as directed by site protocols.
• Operate communication devices and security‑related equipment as required for the post.
• Remain alert to potential hazards and/or situations requiring intervention, and take appropriate action within the scope of post orders.

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• X‑ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
