As a university safety operations center specialist, you will monitor the CCTV system, focusing on university facilities and buildings, and oversee intrusion alarms. You will retrieve camera footage for court testimony, testify in criminal proceedings, and dispatch campus safety units as needed. Additionally, you will utilize various applications, including crime analysis software, to assist in the deployment of field personnel and direct them to areas of concern.
You will also manage campus transportation requests.
This position is designated as essential personnel in the university's emergency disaster response plans. In the event of a university closure or evacuation, all essential personnel must report.
Work hours:
12 hour shifts. Day Shift is 6am-6pm. Night Shift is 6pm-6am. The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.

Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma
- Previous safety and security, law enforcement, or military experience
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts
- Valid driver's license
