Job Summary
Provide support services in the operation and maintenance of an academic or research laboratory, performing analyses, setting up, operating, maintaining and cleaning equipment, and maintaining supplies. Specific duties will be determined by assignment and unit needs. The position will also design, build, and validate graph-based analytic capabilities to support cyber threat intelligence and threat‑hunting operations in industrial cybersecurity environments. The successful candidate will develop structured analytic models, queries, and workflows that enable analysts and threat hunters to identify, track, and characterize adversary activity targeting operational technology and industrial control systems.
Responsibilities- Setup, operate, and maintain instruments and other equipment used in lab tests and experiments.
- Order supplies and materials as required; maintain records.
- Setup laboratory media/equipment for demonstrations.
- May clean instruments, glassware, and other lab equipment.
- Prepare and process laboratory samples for use in assigned tests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Design and implement graph‑based analytic models, queries, and automation to support OT/ICS cyber threat intelligence operations.
- Develop structured analytic workflows that enable threat hunters to identify adversary activity, infrastructure, and TTPs targeting industrial environments.
- Build and validate data ingestion, enrichment, and correlation processes for industrial threat data within the analysis platform.
- Produce and document reusable analytic capabilities, including detection logic, threat characterization templates, and intelligence production workflows.
- Test and validate analytic capabilities against real‑world OT/ICS threat data.
- Contribute to the documentation and codification of tradecraft for platform‑based industrial threat intelligence analysis.
- High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma.
- Up to two years of job‑related experience.
- Experience with building graph‑based threat intelligence capabilities.
- Experience working in industrial cybersecurity problems.
- Working knowledge of instrumentation, lab equipment, lab processes and procedures, inventory management, and specialized computer applications.
$25/hr.
