Description
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the leading cloud provider of virtualized infrastructure, storage, networking, messaging, and many other services worldwide. The AWS Data Center Security team is seeking a program manager in the Georgia/Atlanta area to lead security and security‑systems projects and programs in the data center environment.
Key Job Responsibilities- Project management for physical security systems related to new construction, expansion, and retrofit projects.
- Preparation of physical security project lifecycle management including bid packages, specifications, drawings, code compliance, vendor management, budget, change orders, and close‑out documentation.
- Contemporary knowledge of emerging physical security technologies to assess their applicability within the AWS physical security program.
- Provide subject matter expert (SME) support for leadership to make strategic decisions regarding technology and procedure.
- Balance performance metrics such as vendor service delivery performance, spend vs. budget variance, cost reduction goal attainment, post‑installation defect rates, and physical security program analysis.
- Manage vendors for onboarding, RFQ, bid, contract, QA/QC, and support processes.
- Effectively and accurately manage multi‑million dollar budgets for infrastructure projects and initiatives.
- Collaborate across teams and provide support for global initiatives.
- Experience with design and implementation of physical security systems such as Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and CCTV Surveillance.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical audiences regarding physical security standards and system designs.
- Experience delivering physical security projects or programs within an enterprise setting.
- Background in Physical Security Design, Security Systems Deployment, Physical Security Operations, Security Architecture, or Construction Management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or physical security design software.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders without formal authority, leading cross‑functional teams across geographies and business units.
- Certifications such as PSP, CPP, PMP, and training in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED). Experience or certification with Lenel Access Control System is a plus.
Base salary range: 80,000.00 – USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
