Job Summary

Guard, patrol, and/or monitor the venue premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules. May operate metal detector equipment. As an usher, greeter or ticket taker, you help to ensure safety, maintain cleanliness, and engage with guests before, during and after the show.

• Circulate among guests and/or employees to preserve safety, order and to protect the venue property.
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, guests, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security and safety of the premises.
• May write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Escort or drive motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection.
• Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
• Show CARE by participating in the venue’s sustainability program, including sorting waste, collecting recycling, and educating guests about conservation efforts.
• Partner with fellow band members at the end of show to close the venue—collect recyclables, pick up equipment such as lawn chairs and barricades, and store properly.
• Warn persons of rule infractions or violations and apprehend or evict violators from premises.

• Greet guests, scan tickets upon entry, answer questions, assist with seat locations, and examine tickets for various seat levels during the event.
• Assist with keeping the venue safe, clean, and presentable.
• Resolve guest complaints or problems.
• Examine tickets or passes to verify authenticity.
• Provide assistance to guests with special needs, such as helping with seat accommodations.
• Show CARE by participating in venue recycling efforts before, during, and after the show.
• Guide guests to exits or provide instructions in case of emergency.
• May assist in verifying staff credentials for restricted areas.
• Show CARE by participating in the venue’s sustainability program—sorting waste, collecting recycling, and educating guests about conservation.
• Partner with fellow band members at the end of show to close the venue—collect recyclables, pick up equipment such as lawn chairs and barricades, and store properly.
• Assist patrons by giving directions inside or outside the venue.
• Ensure guests are safely enjoying the show.
• Additional tasks as requested by management.

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1+ year in a guest service role preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Acute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
• Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, occasional sitting, lifting and carrying 25 lbs. or more.
