Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Front Desk Monitor in Atlanta, GA
, you will serve and safeguard clients across a range of industries such as financial institutions. In this part‑time role you will build a schedule that works for you and explore new opportunities using our Claim a Shift platform. You will be the first point of contact for guests, employees, and visitors, supporting access control, monitoring the reception area, and delivering exceptional customer service and communication.
Position Type: Part Time
Pay Rate: $20.06 / Hour
Job Schedule: Day Time – 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM (Sunday) – 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM (Saturday)
What You’ll Do- Provide customer service by greeting employees, visitors, and vendors at the front desk, following site‑specific policies and procedures for the financial institution.
- Monitor lobby and entry activity, verify identification and/or visitor credentials, and deter unauthorized access through professional presence and documented access control practices.
- Answer phones, assist with directions and general inquiries, and support sign‑in, badge issuance, and visitor logging processes in accordance with site guidelines.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, notifying appropriate contacts and documenting security‑related concerns as needed.
- Observe activity at the front desk and surrounding reception area, report unusual behavior and/or maintenance concerns, and support emergency response activities when appropriate.
- At least 6 months of armed security‑related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, and/or a corrections academy certificate.
- An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Background investigation required in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Drug screen required to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
