Position Summary

The EHSS Officer is responsible for protecting employees, property, and company assets by monitoring security systems, including CCTV, access control, and dispatch operations, as well as conducting physical patrols. This role responds to all safety and security‑related calls, investigates incidents, and prepares detailed reports on findings. The officer collaborates with internal departments on safety and security events and works closely with Human Resources and Legal to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Patrol duties – conduct routine patrols on the premises to deter theft, vandalism, or other criminal activities.
  • Respond to calls/incidents for assistance from departments on campus.
  • Access control – manage entry/exit points and operate CCTV systems for surveillance monitoring.
  • Incident response and investigation – respond to and document safety incidents, near misses, security breaches, alarms, and suspicious behavior.
  • Respond to alarm calls on campus while communicating with emergency services.
  • Provide medical assistance to all medical emergencies and administer First Aid/CPR.
  • Report writing – document safety/security incidents, observations, and daily logs.
  • Maintain situational awareness, focus, and responsive readiness in a dynamic environment.
  • Safety inspections – inspect facility, equipment, and work practices to ensure compliance.
  • Emergency preparedness – respond to alarms, evacuation drills, first aid readiness, and communicate with emergency services.
  • Coordinate with emergency services and law enforcement to ensure timely response and effective communication during incidents and routine operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Communication
  • Strong communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication across teams and departments.
  • Address and resolve issues or concerns raised by associates and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the team and EHSS supervisor to support cross‑departmental cooperation and accountability.
  • Promote consistent EHSS practices across the site.
  • Support the implementation of strategic initiatives through teamwork and collaboration.

Hours:

7:00 pm – 7:00 am, variable.
