Command Center Communications Operator

Responsibilities

• Monitor multiple communication channels including radios, phones, and surveillance systems to maintain situational awareness
• Monitor officer activity, respond to any officer report, monitor tours, check points, and incident reports
• Receive, document, and dispatch incidents, service calls, and emergency notifications promptly and accurately
• Coordinate with field officers, emergency responders, and management to relay critical information
• Maintain detailed records of communications and incident reports in the system
• Utilize computerized dispatch and surveillance software effectively
• Respond to alarms and coordinate emergency response protocols
• Conduct routine checks of communication equipment and report malfunctions
• Provide exceptional customer service via telephone and radio communications
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in dispatch, communications, or security operations preferred
• Proficient computer and multi-tasking skills
• Strong verbal communication and active listening skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure or emergency situations
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
• Availability to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
