Security, Security Guard

LOCATION: Atlanta, GA
POSITION TYPE: Part-Time
REPORTS TO: General Manager

This position is responsible for the protection, safeguarding and security of the market, its personnel, vendors and visitors.

• Performs security patrols.
• Provides cordial directions to guests as needed.
• Enforces safety and security procedures.
• Protects property from theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire and accidents.
• Investigates and writes detailed reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards, and other security related situations.
• Uses effective radio communication across outlets with management team, as well as with property security.
• Skilled in de-escalation during confrontations.
• Monitors bar outlets and anticipates issues before they arise.
• Monitor and control access at building entrances.
• Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
• Ensure the safety of all staff leaving the property.
• Provides any needed assistance to customers, employees and visitors following the department’s procedures.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED
