Job Summary
The Public Safety Officer is responsible for safeguarding a designated area or facility, ensuring protection against fire, theft, hazardous conditions, and unauthorized entry to Grady Health System property and restricted areas. This role involves monitoring radio transmissions, promptly responding to assigned and emergency service calls, and performing crucial fixed and patrol post duties essential to the safety and security of patients, visitors, employees, and physicians.
Qualifications- High School diploma or GED is required.
- Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
- A minimum of one year of relevant work experience is required.
- Driver's License: Maintain a valid state-issued driver's license with a good driving record.
- Physical Ability: Must be in good physical condition to handle security-related tasks effectively.
- Communication
Skills:
Command of the English language to accurately complete written documents and reports. - Computer
Skills:
Basic knowledge of computer operations for email communication and completing assignments. - Flexibility: Capable of working flexible hours, including any day of the week.
