Job Summary
To help provide a safe environment for staff, patients, visitors, and volunteers of PPSE. Collaborate with leadership in the management of high-quality security and emergency programs, including policy input, operations, communication, and staff training, while maintaining security intelligence programs, technical systems, databases, tools, and protocols throughout the Atlanta area.

- If using a personal vehicle to drive for work purposes, a valid state driver license and current auto insurance in compliance with the minimum requirements of the state’s vehicle code are required.
- In collaboration with Sr. Director of Security, support the administration of the department's Protective Intelligence and Threat Assessment programs, including conducting threat assessments, investigating referrals from internal stakeholders, and performing proactive and reactive threat investigations.
- Manage the badge access control lifecycle, including credential issuance, assignment, tracking, monitoring, maintenance, and revocation of access permissions and related equipment.
- Maintain accountability for security materials and assets, including HID credentials, access control equipment, security codes, and other controlled security resources.
- Provide security-related support and guidance to employees and end users, including responding to security system requests and addressing routine and emergent security concerns.
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver intelligence, safety, security, and emergency preparedness briefings and training programs, including maintaining and updating training and presentation materials.
- Prepare, distribute, and communicate incident reports, investigative findings, and other security-related information to internal stakeholders, external partners, and law enforcement agencies.
- Support security planning and operations for special events, large meetings, and organizational activities, collaborating with Facilities and other departments to ensure appropriate security measures are in place.
- Administer organizational emergency preparedness efforts by maintaining disaster response equipment and supplies and advising health centers and administrative facilities on security preparedness, emergency response, and business continuity strategies.
- Conduct open-source intelligence (OSINT) research and analysis, prepare investigative reports, and communicate findings and recommendations to appropriate stakeholders.
- Monitor security cameras and surveillance systems, identify suspicious activity, and initiate appropriate security response and report protocols.
- Proactively identify, document, and report safety concerns, security risks, policy violations, errors, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions to reduce organizational risk and prevent recurrence.
- Monitor, maintain, and update protest activity tracking resources and intelligence tools to support situational awareness and risk assessment efforts.
- Support accreditation and regulatory compliance activities by coordinating audits, maintaining required documentation, monitoring applicable standards, and collaborating with departments to ensure ongoing organizational readiness.
- Prepare reports, recommendations, and executive briefings for Security leadership regarding security operations, incidents, risks, compliance initiatives, and program effectiveness.
- Maintain compliance with PPSE's Code of Conduct and uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, integrity, and confidentiality while adhering to all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Respond to departmental needs during after-hours emergencies, incident activations, and company-sponsored events, including providing on-call support as required.
