Experienced Security Officers

Marksman Security is seeking experienced security officers with prior security guard (armed or unarmed), military, or law enforcement experience. Ideal candidates should demonstrate strong people skills, professional appearance, and take ownership of team success.

Responsibilities:

• Deter criminal activity and misconduct.
• Respond to alarms, distress calls, emergencies (fire, injuries, unauthorized persons) and contact police, fire departments, or local emergency response teams.
• Make periodic patrols to identify unsafe conditions, hazards, and security violations.
• Operate access control systems, use a computer for incident reports, navigate security software, and use email.
• Maintain strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.
• Manage multiple tasks and communicate via radio and telephone in a high‑pressure environment.
• Perform other duties as determined by the security supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Prior law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
• Applicants must meet at least one of the following:

  • Two years of customer service experience
  • Two years of security experience
  • Law enforcement experience
  • Corrections experience
  • Military experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or related field

Requirements:

• Valid state licensing if applicable.
• Minimum age 21 with high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass criminal background check and drug test.
• Technology skills: operate access control systems, use computer for incident reports, email, and security software.
• Strong customer service, professional demeanor, and appearance.
• Experience managing multiple tasks in radio/telephone communications under medium to high pressure.
• Familiarity with report writing, surveillance, observation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• CPR and First Aid training preferred.
