Lead Physical Security Specialist

Duties

This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Safety, Security, and Asset Management, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. The announcement will close at 11:59 PM on the day that 50 applications have been received or on the closing date, whichever is first.

• Prioritizing and implementing risk controls related to personnel security, credentialing, logical and physical access management.
• Providing technical guidance on operations of PIV Card Issuance facilities (PCIF) and conducting coordination with operating divisions across the country.
• Providing oversight of database management, physical access control systems (PACS), records administration, information security protocols and PIV card enrollment and issuance processes.

• One year of specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position.
• Specialized experience must be equivalent to at least the GS‑11 grade level in the Federal service, performing ALL of the following:

• Prioritizing and implementing risk controls related to personnel security, credentialing, logical and physical access management.
• Providing technical guidance on operations of PIV Card Issuance facilities (PCIF) and conducting coordination with operating divisions across the country.
• Providing oversight of database management, physical access control systems (PACS), records administration, information security protocols and PIV card enrollment and issuance processes.

Applicants must provide the exact dates of each period of employment (from MM/YY to MM/YY) and the number of hours worked per week if part time. Documentation such as a signed memorandum from the employee's supervisor, an SF‑50 or SF‑52 indicating an official detail or other assignment must be included. Documentation must state whether duties were performed full time or, if part time, the % of time performed.

Volunteer experience that is relevant to the duties described may be considered creditable. If such experience is part‑time, applicants must provide the average number of hours worked per week as well as the beginning and ending dates of the experience.
