Job Overview

Marksman Security Officers deter criminal activity, protect property, and enforce rules. Some monitor surveillance cameras from a stationary position, while others patrol and conduct security checks. In offices and factories, officers protect equipment, workers, and verify the credentials of vehicles and individuals.

Schedule

Part‑time, Monday‑Friday 2:00 PM – 6:30 PM.

Available Positions

• Rover – Foot or vehicle patrols, detect suspicious behavior, prevent vandalism, theft, and other criminal activity.
• Gatehouse – Greet residents and guests, check identification, log visitor vehicles, control access, announce visitors.
• Campus posts – Greet guests, provide customer service, control access, monitor CCTV, and announce visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to all parties encountered while on duty.
• Control access for clients, visitors or vendors as required.
• Monitor security guard cameras and conduct patrols to guard against theft and maintain a safe environment.
• Respond to incidents, including emergencies, and record incident data for building and management.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Excellent customer service, professionalism, and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks.
• Basic computer skills a plus.
• Experience with report writing and documentation.
• Experience monitoring surveillance.
• Background check and fingerprint investigation per federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screening as permitted by law.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Valid 24‑Hour Guard Card.

Education – High school diploma or GED equivalent.
