Overview

The Professional/Individual Contributor Staff member is responsible for performing work responsibilities, building relationships, and sharing expertise and experience as he/she contributes to specific bodies of work, builds connections, and optimizes performance.

The Senior Lead Advisor, Restaurant Security serves as a subject matter expert for restaurant security within Enterprise Protection Services. This role partners with security professionals, Operators, internal stakeholders, and external partners to identify, monitor and respond to restaurant security risks. The role provides consultative guidance on security operations, incident response, technology, CCTV/video, intrusion alarm devices, life safety systems, and security design principles.

The Senior Lead Advisor also helps develop resources, reporting processes, and education that enables Operators and internal partners to protect the Brand.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the restaurant security risk management framework, including incident identification, reporting, monitoring, escalation, and response coordination.
  • Monitor emerging internal and external restaurant security threats, trends, and opportunities to inform proactive mitigation and leadership decision-making.
  • Maintain and enhance restaurant security standards, playbooks, system design principles, and technology recommendations to support consistent application across the system.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operators, internal teams, vendors, and external industry peers to integrate security considerations into restaurant initiatives, designs, and response plans.
  • Build restaurant security awareness and capability by equipping Operators, Field Operations, and internal partners with guidance, education, and subject matter expertise.
  • Respond to escalated Security Hotline calls and ensure Operators receive timely follow-up, documentation, and support for restaurant security incidents.
  • Leverage and refine Service Now and connect reporting processes to track incidents, identify trends, and support consistent issue resolution.
  • Coordinate with Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Treasury, Facilities, and Operations on incidents or issues impacting Operators or the Brand.
  • Prepare and deliver executive briefings and reports on significant restaurant security incidents, emerging threats, strategic trends, and Operator or Brand impact.
  • Maintain field perspective by engaging Operators, Operator market-level teams, and Design and Construction partners to understand security challenges and recommend practical solutions.
  • Maintain and update the Restaurant Security Playbook, Operator resources, and related training content to align with current operating standards and communication channels.
  • Consult on new restaurant initiatives, security system design, technology solutions, and design variations for new markets, including urban and higher-risk environments.
  • Deliver restaurant security subject matter expertise through training, consultation, and education for Operators, Interim Managers, Grand Opening Supervisors, Field Operations, and internal partners.
