What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public at a government health services location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain communication with Allied Universal leadership, client representatives, and public service agencies as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Provide a DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
