The Atlanta University Center (AUC) Robert W. Woodruff Library is seeking an organized and proactive Security Services Officer. The Security Services Officer will patrol the building, parking lots and grounds to ensure security and prevent damage to or loss of company and employee property. She/he will also assist in securing the safety of the Library's property, patrons, visitors, and staff.

- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in security
- Ability to pass a criminal background and drug screen.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods; running may be required to address and report emergency incidents.
- Flexibility to work evenings, overnight, and weekends as required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Military or law enforcement experience
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides first response to Library customer service including, but not limited to, handling patron service requests and providing building directional layout.
- Make routine rounds of the building and grounds by vehicle or walking.
- Responds to building alarm notices.
- Monitor all entrances during the arrival and departure of employees at main shift changes.
