Summary
Performs maintenance related repairs on all District-owned vehicles as assigned.
Responsibilities- Repairs and services all District vehicles
- Performs extensive monthly inspections on all vehicles in the school fleet
- Performs on-the-road service calls for all District vehicles
- Signs for all parts and materials issued by the parts manager and for service rendered to vehicles
- Maintains fuel and oil levels in District vehicles
- Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Certification/Licensure- Valid Driver License required
- Must be insurable by Fulton County Board of Education
- Possession of a valid Class B Commercial Driver License with passenger, S, and air brake endorsements preferred
None required;
Some experience as a mechanic preferred
- Excellent driving record
- Must have basic computer skills
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Hazardous physical conditions
- Exposure to mechanical parts, electrical currents
- Exposure to fumes, odors, dust, grease
- Exposure to extreme heat or cold and extreme weather conditions
- Exposure to extreme noise levels
- Ability to exert up to 100 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 50 lbs
- Requires balancing, stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching, grasping, feeling, repetitive motions
