Industrial Electrician
1st shift 28 - 32 per hour
Job DescriptionThe Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems and components throughout the facility. This role focuses heavily on running conduit, wiring motors, and working with automation systems including PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs.
Responsibilities- Run and install conduit (EMT, rigid, flexible) for new and existing equipment.
- Install motors, control panels, and electrical components.
- Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs used in automated production systems.
- Perform preventive and corrective electrical maintenance on machinery and facility systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
- Document work performed and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Electrical proficiency.
- Experience in conduit installation and bending.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or journeyman license preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of industrial electrical experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in conduit bending, motor wiring, and control system installation.
- Hands‑on experience with PLCs (Allen‑Bradley or Siemens), HMIs, and VFDs.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment is non‑climate controlled, mostly outside, with some air conditioning in the electrical room.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, GA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.00/hr.
