Tiello has partnered with a well-established HVAC services organization supporting commercial and industrial clients across the Southeast. This team delivers high-quality service, start-up, and troubleshooting support for complex HVAC systems
, working closely with contractors, engineers, and factory partners to ensure reliable system performance and long-term customer satisfaction.

HVAC Service Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, starting up, and maintaining commercial HVAC equipment while delivering exceptional customer support. This role works closely with service leadership, controls teams, and project partners to support both routine service calls and complex system troubleshooting, including building automation controls (BAC) integration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial HVAC systems
  • Support equipment start-ups, commissioning, and warranty‑related service work
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and controls‑related issues and recommend corrective actions
  • Assist with building automation controls (BAC) troubleshooting, integration, and optimization
  • Complete service documentation including work orders, service reports, and warranty information
  • Communicate clearly with service leadership, customers, and internal teams regarding system status and repairs
  • Follow all safety procedures and ensure service work is completed in compliance with applicable standards
  • Participate in on‑call rotations as required
  • Maintain professional relationships with customers, contractors, and engineering partners
  • Support continuous improvement by providing feedback on equipment performance and service trends
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment diagnostics, and troubleshooting
  • Experience performing equipment start‑ups and field service support
  • Familiarity with building automation controls (BAC), including basic diagnostics and field troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
  • Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset
  • Proficiency with service software platforms and Microsoft Windows environments
  • EPA certification required (Universal preferred)
Preferred Skills
  • Experience supporting complex commercial HVAC systems and mission‑critical environments
  • Controls exposure including BMS, BAS, or DDC systems
  • Manufacturer training or factory start‑up experience
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple service calls
  • Solutions‑oriented approach and ability to work independently in the field
