Summary

Balfour Beatty in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Buckhoist Operator to join our team.

Essential Functions

• Operate Buckhoist (external elevators), lower and pull loads, materials, and personnel vertically in a safe and speedy manner on a commercial construction project using power-operated cable equipment
• Manual labor tasks skilled and unskilled
• Chipping or grinding concrete
• Gate guard
• Unloading or loading material
• Water control, cleanup/sweeping floors, traffic control, helping carpenters and concrete finishers
• Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned
• High school diploma preferred, and on-the-job training required
• Minimum 1 year or more of experience in a Buckhoist Operator role on a commercial construction jobsite
• Must adhere to safety protocol, and work in a drug-free environment
• Minimal maintenance of hoists
• Must be able to lift doors on hoist up to 50 lbs. and work at elevated heights
