Mechanical Equipment Inspector – Facilities Management Services
LocationAtlanta Campus (subject to change)
ScheduleMonday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. (shift subject to change)
Salary$34,036 – $41,000 per year
AboutWe are excited about the growth of the Maintenance and Operations Department. We are looking for an individual to help the Building Maintenance Department reach the next level of excellence.

Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain chillers, split systems, pumps, boilers, heaters, and related equipment daily.
- Perform vibration analysis, nondestructive testing, lubricating, and other maintenance testing.
- Assist in planning and scheduling preventive maintenance.
- Coordinate work of contractors and vendors for equipment maintenance.
- Prepare inspection and related reports on mechanical and building equipment.
- Perform general repair work of doors and windows.
- Perform minor electrical wiring.
- Perform minor plumbing work.
- Perform general maintenance duties such as replacing light bulbs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Technical or vocational degree and two years of HVAC experience; OR high school diploma/GED and four years of HVAC; OR combination of education and related experience.
- Must possess EPA Technician CFC/HCFC and HFC Universal certification per 40 CFR Part 82, Subpart F, or obtain certification within six months of employment.
- Knowledge of methods, techniques, and practices used in installation, maintenance, repair, and operation of equipment.
- Knowledge of large chiller systems.
- Knowledge of building, mechanical, and trades areas.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and solve equipment failures.
- Ability to access confined spaces.
