Job Description: We’re looking for a skilled, motivated and experienced metal refinisher to bring their talent and craft to our expanding markets. As a refinisher, you’ll be using your expertise in buffing, stripping, sanding, masking, filling, spraying, oxidizing, and finishing techniques to restore surfaces to their best state.
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for completing work orders to ensure all jobs are completed to quality standards and in a timely manner
- Eventually leading crews ensuring all work is completed to MASS and Customer standards
- Complete applicable training, moving into a foreman role within 3 months of hire
- Successfully complete all required safety and training modules
- Working with solvents, chemicals, pneumatic and power tools
- Follow all safety and OSHA related protocols, including the use of company vehicles
- Work nights (generally 4/5pm – 2/3am) with flexibility to work occasional days or weekends
- Occasion out of town travel (in company van, with daily per diem allowance & individual hotel)
Qualifications:
- 2 yrs + experience preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or G.E.D preferred
- Current and valid driver’s license, with an insurable driving record
- Effective communication skills – both written and verbal
- Comfortable with heights and working in confined spaces
- Ability to kneel, squat, bend, lift, reach, climb and carry equipment up to 60lbs unassisted
- Painter or spraying experience of any type
- High level of attention to detail/cleanliness
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base of $23 per hour/ 40hrs a week during initial training
- After passing apprentice trainee testing, eligible for bonus pay plan with a base determined on current level of knowledge and skill
