Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in landscape design-build/construction or closely related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as GCLP, ICPI, GSWCC Level 1A, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of construction techniques, building codes, and materials.

Landscape Installation Foreman

Job Description

In this field‑leadership role, the Landscape Installation Foreman manages a production team of 2‑3 team members, including coaching, training, developing, and reenforcing safety and quality standards. Landscape Installation Foreman is responsible for the construction and installation of landscape projects, confirming & assisting in ordering materials and scheduling deliveries, communicating with designers, clients, and subcontractors, and is responsible for the successful construction of landscapes.

As a Landscape Installation Foreman, you will be responsible for leading and participating in the hands‑on construction tasks, including hardscape and softscape installations, grading, drainage, and planting. Your ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team of professionals will be paramount in this role. You will deploy and manage company resources to complete projects on budget and on schedule.

Your attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship will be essential in creating visually appealing and functional outdoor spaces.

Responsibilities include:

  • Mastery of Landscape Technician roles and responsibilities, plus:
  • Overall management of all job site aspects of landscape installations according to design plans, budgets, contracts specifics, permit requirements, and inspections.
  • Supervises and guides one or more Landscape Installation Teams.
  • Plans and oversees project workflow to include team members’ and sub contractor’s roles within the project.
  • Actively work alongside and supervise, train, and participate with Team Members in landscape construction.
  • Foster a positive experience for team members and clients.
  • Demonstrate ability to work and lead productively.
  • Perform demo and site preparation tasks such as excavation, grading, site layout, base preparation, forming footings, and setting rebar.
  • Read and implement architectural plans and perform accurate site layout.
  • Install Hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls and other permanent structures using industry best practices.
  • Properly install softscape elements, including planting, sodding, irrigation and lighting systems.
  • Install Drainage and Detention Systems according to project plans and best practices.
  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment in a safe manner to people and property.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and project timelines.
  • Collaborate with Team Members and communicate effectively with project managers/designers.
  • Learn to constantly improve production rates and identify improvements to work‑flow.

    Timely completion of assigned landscape installation projects, meeting or exceeding established deadlines.
  • Quality of Workmanship:
    Consistently delivering high‑quality craftsmanship in hardscape and softscape installations, aligned with design specifications and industry standards.
