A global manufacturer of specialized industrial pipe and tube fabrication equipment is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to support customers across North America. This position is ideal for a technically inclined professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex equipment, traveling to customer sites, and delivering hands-on technical solutions.

You will work with advanced machinery involving mechanical systems, electrical components, PLC controls, and pneumatic systems. The role includes equipment installation, technical troubleshooting, and customer training while representing the organization with a strong commitment to safety and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, commission, and test industrial fabrication machinery at customer facilities
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems
  • Provide technical support to customers both onsite and remotely
  • Conduct operational training sessions for customer personnel
  • Support product demonstrations and assist with prototype or sample part production
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve technical issues and improve equipment performance
  • Travel to customer locations throughout North America to support installations and service needs
Required Skills & Experience
  • Associate degree in a mechanical or electrical discipline or equivalent military technical experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, PLC controls, pneumatics, and PC-based control systems
  • Ability to travel 50–75% after training, including weekday overnight travel
  • Strong problem-solving and independent decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication skills and customer-focused mindset
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass required background or drug screening processes
