Our team delivers projects ranging from local roadway improvements to large infrastructure developments for state, municipal, and private clients. We are known for quality work, a strong safety culture, and long-term relationships with both employees and clients.

The Opportunity

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced pipelayer who wants consistent work on meaningful infrastructure and roadway projects across the Atlanta district. You will be part of a skilled field team installing critical underground utility systems that support public works and site development projects. For dependable craft professionals who take pride in precision, production, and safe trench work, this role offers the chance to contribute to visible, lasting work with a growing heavy civil contractor.

What

You'll Do
  • Install storm drainage, sanitary sewer, water main, and related underground utility pipe systems on active construction projects.
  • Set up pipe lasers, shoot grade with transit equipment, and lay pipe to the required alignment and elevation based on project specifications.
  • Install manholes, inlets, junction boxes, and other utility structures as part of complete underground systems.
  • Perform backfill and compaction work to support proper installation and site progress.
  • Cut and join pipe sections as needed while maintaining quality and production standards.
  • Work safely in and around trenches, follow OSHA trench safety requirements, and maintain organized, clean work areas.
What Success Looks Like
  • Within the first several months, you are contributing as a reliable member of the crew and completing pipe installation work safely, accurately, and productively.
  • Pipe systems are installed to correct line and grade with minimal rework and consistent adherence to project specifications.
  • Supervisors can trust you to work effectively around trenches, existing utilities, and active equipment while maintaining strong safety awareness.
  • Manholes, inlets, junction boxes, and related structures are installed correctly and coordinated well with the rest of the crew.
  • You help keep the job site efficient and organized by supporting cleanup, maintaining safe work areas, and following direction consistently.
What We're Looking For

We are seeking experienced underground utility pipelayers with a strong background in heavy civil construction, trench work, and utility installation. Candidates should be able to read and interpret construction drawings and grade stakes, understand trench safety and excavation standards, and work safely around existing utilities. This role requires the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, lift 50+ pounds, and handle physically demanding field work.

Experience with large-diameter pipe, laser levels, grade control systems, and DOT or municipal projects is preferred.
