Description of RoleSRI is hiring Inside Plant (ISP) Technicians to support installation, integration, and maintenance work within Central Office, Headend, and Data Center facilities. This hands‑on technical role focuses on structured cabling, fiber, RF, and power‑related infrastructure in mission‑critical environments. Technicians will support equipment installations, cabling, testing, and network cutovers while following established safety and installation standards.
Key Responsibilities- Install racks, cabinets, and network equipment in ISP facilities
- Perform rack‑and‑stack, equipment mounting, and cable management
- Install, dress, label, and test copper and fiber optic cabling
- Support network integration, migrations, and scheduled cutovers (including overnight work)
- Assist with DC power installations, grounding, and bonding per site standards
- Use test equipment to validate fiber and copper connectivity
- Follow site safety procedures and critical facility standards
- Work from installation documentation, drawings, and MOPs
- Maintain clean work areas and accurate labeling and documentation
- 5+ years of experience in Inside Plant, Central Office, Headend, or Data Center environments
- Hands‑on experience with rack‑and‑stack, structured cabling, and cable management systems
- Ability to install and test CAT5/6 and fiber optic cabling
- Familiarity with grounding, bonding, and basic DC power concepts
- Experience using fiber and copper test equipment
- Comfortable working around live network equipment as permitted by site guidelines
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work on ladders or in confined spaces
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Reliable, self‑motivated, and comfortable working independently
- Proficient using a computer and Google suite
