. Westfalia Technologies is a leader in providing solutions for plants, warehouses, and distribution centers. We are seeking a dedicated and customer‑focused Resident Service Technician to join our team.
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation on S/RMs, conveyors, palletizers, lifts, and robotic systems at customer sites.
- Provide on‑site customer support and maintain daily communication with customers, including written service reports and follow‑up actions.
- Support parts and service sales by identifying customer needs and assisting with parts order processing and follow‑up.
- Conduct routine inspections and equipment repairs on installed systems.
- Coordinate technical and business information between customers, Sales, Engineering, and Service teams.
- Maintain professional customer relationships while resolving issues in a calm and effective manner.
- Submit required documentation and service paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Promote teamwork and collaboration within the Service Department.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Fit for air travel and legal eligibility to rent and operate a rental vehicle through the company’s corporate account, in compliance with rental agency policies and insurance requirements.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background check and drug screening.
- Strong electro/mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skill.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision (self‑starter).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar business applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and internal teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to professionally resolve customer concerns and complaints.
- Ability to use hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Previous experience with electro/mechanical repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting required.
- Experience using diagnostic tools and equipment required.
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree or mechatronics certification (preferred).
- Ascend and descend fixed vertical ladders up to 135 feet high (approximately 10% of the time).
- Visually inspect machinery in low‑light or dark environments.
- Frequently move toolboxes weighing up to 70 lbs.; occasionally lift or position heavier objects using rigging equipment.
- Maintain full mobility to safely rig equipment weighing up to 1,000 lbs.
- Temperatures may range from
-40°F to 110°F depending on the facility (including freezer environments).
- 100% on‑site work at customer locations.
- Frequent air travel required.
- Daily local and regional travel to customer facilities as needed.
