Place Services, Inc. with its headquarters in Canton, GA is seeking an experienced Supermarket Refrigeration Installer to travel to various locations including Nashville, Knoxville, Birmingham, Atlanta, Greenville, SC, and Charlotte. The role primarily involves night work with occasional day shifts.
What You’ll Do:- Execute installation of refrigeration systems in accordance with blueprints, specifications, and local building codes.
- Build and install pipe hangers, fit and braze copper pipe, and ensure proper installation of refrigerated cases in supermarkets.
- Assemble, position, and mount refrigeration units, condensers, compressors, and other components.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards for refrigeration systems.
- Follow proper disposal procedures for refrigerants and hazardous materials in accordance with environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including installation logs, service reports, and equipment specifications.
- Document equipment inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks for reference and future analysis.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding job progress, issues encountered, and solutions implemented.
- Interact professionally with supermarket management and staff to understand refrigeration needs and address concerns.
- Provide courteous and responsive customer service, resolving inquiries and requests in a timely manner.
- Experience as Lead, Pipe Fitter, Case Setter, or Helper preferred; apprenticeships are welcome.
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on quality.
- Team player who embodies a “we over me” mentality.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs.
- Committed to continuous improvement and innovative thinking.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record as per Fleet Policy.
- Physical ability to walk, bend, crouch, climb ladders, work at heights, and lift/carry up to 50 pounds repetitively.
- Prompt and detailed communication skills.
- Availability to work nights and/or Sundays.
- Working knowledge of basic and commercial refrigeration (preferred for Lead).
- EPA certification preferred but not required.
