As a Senior Field Service Technician, you will play a mission-critical role supporting essential communications infrastructure, ensuring the highest standards of operational excellence. Responsibilities:
- Create high-level programming codeplugs, including P25, Linked CAP+, CAP MAX, and Repeaters.
- Install and service complex wireless communications systems (UHF/VHF, 800/900 MHz, dispatch consoles, BDA/DAS systems, microwave systems, wireless broadband, CCTV equipment).
- Provide system recommendations and design solutions tailored to unique customer requirements.
- Diagnose, repair, program, and install RF equipment for robust communications performance.
- Operate and interpret results from test equipment such as communications service monitors, watt meters, TDRs, FDRs, and multimeters.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing challenging needs with creative technical solutions.
- Complete required documentation and comply with safety and quality protocols.
- Support ongoing system upgrades and troubleshooting for installed solutions.
Must-Have Skills:
- Professional background in electronics with proven experience working with RF equipment.
- Strong knowledge of two-way radio theory and RF propagation across frequency bands.
- Hands-on skills in diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing wireless communications systems.
- Proficiency with test equipment including service monitors, watt meters, TDRs/FDRs, and multimeters.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass required screenings (drug, motor vehicle, background checks).
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with RF design and engineering methodologies.
- Experience with IP networking and system integrations.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Certifications related to wireless networking or RF engineering.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to fast-paced field environments.
