SummaryThe Maintenance Technician provides support and is accountable for delivering on our commitments to our residents, including quality move‑ins, residential satisfaction, expedited service, and personal attention to the resident.
EssentialJob Duties
- Prepare and make ready apartments, including painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, general repairs, housekeeping duties, and any necessary tasks to provide residents with a quality move‑in experience.
- Respond to resident requests in a timely manner and with a professional attitude.
- Provide support to maintain our commitments to residents: quality move‑ins, residential satisfaction, expedited service, and personal attention.
- Use knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, basic electrical work, general carpentry skills, painting, and snow removal (if applicable).
- Maintain grounds, pools/hot tubs, common areas, and dog park amenities to keep them clean, operational, and safe for residents.
- Be on call for after‑hour emergencies as required.
- Report maintenance concerns in vacant units, models, and common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Perform maintenance tasks scheduled by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Adhere to state, local, and federal fair housing laws.
- Participate in required training programs by Cushman & Wakefield.
- Perform all assigned duties timely, deliver superior customer service, and represent the company professionally.
- Dress in accordance with Cushman & Wakefield uniform and professional appearance standards.
- Maintain safety procedures and safeguard company tools and equipment.
- Achieve high productivity through reliable, punctual on‑site attendance; report any tardiness or attendance issues to supervisor.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
- Valid driver's license.
- EPA 608 – Minimum Type II and CPO or local city required certificate.
- Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
- Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages; prepare and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to solve routine problems with several known variables.
- Ability to utilize common sense to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
- Basic arithmetic skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in all units of measure.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Follow all safety procedures.
- High School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational school.
- Minimum 1 year of related experience.
This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. The job requires traveling outside between properties in varying weather conditions.
Physical DemandsStand and walk for extended periods; ascend/descend staircases, ladders, or step stools; travel outside between buildings; remain stationary 85% of time; operate office machinery; lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 100 pounds; travel up to 10% of time.
