Starting Rate of Pay: $26.50/hr + $3.00/hr (2nd shift differential)

Main Responsibilities- Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers
- Use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
- Perform preventative maintenance repairs—such as replacing/rotating tires, lubricating and replacing components, electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles
- Partner with your manager to learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands‑on coaching
- Complete additional projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license
- Problem‑solving ability and comfort using tools
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Team‑player with the ability to work independently
- Basic computer skills
Understand and comply with specific instructions, guidelines, rules, and regulations established by Penske management - Adhere to DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies, including proper tool use, PPE, machine guarding, and safety practices
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential
- Requirement for a current DOT driver qualification file, including annual MVR check, DOT physical, and safety performance history; CDL holders must undergo DOT drug screening within 30 days of start and FMCSA clearinghouse review
- Willingness to work the required schedule, location, complete the Penske employment application, background screening, drug screen, physical, and potential travel for training
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner; accept responsibility for own and others’ safety
- Move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods
- Use hands daily to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, and operate tools or controls
- Safely work at heights using ladders and elevated working platforms
- Work in all weather conditions
- Definitely see and hear to safely navigate the work environment amid frequent movement of large trucks
- Regularly lift or move up to 50lbs (23kg) and occasionally up to 100lbs (45kg); push/pull truck tires exceeding 100lbs
