Installation Technician, Field/Service Technician, Security Systems Installation, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
We are seeking experienced Security Technicians to support field installations across the Atlanta Metro Area
. This role is ideal for technicians who are reliable, self‑sufficient, and comfortable working in the field with minimal supervision. Technicians will travel to a single job site per day, working closely with a Lead Technician to complete installation and maintenance of access control and security systems.
- Install, wire, and troubleshoot access control and security systems
- Install locking hardware including:
- Strikes, maglocks, mortise locks
- Run and terminate CAT6 / CAT6a cabling (RJ45 termination required)
- Configure and IP security cameras
- Assist with installation of doors, frames, and rack systems
- Read and execute punch lists for project completion
- Work on ladders and lifts when needed (PPE required at all times)
- Communicate daily with Lead Technician on progress and updates
- Maintain productivity and stay focused on job site deliverables
- 2–4 years of hands‑on experience in access control or low‑voltage installations
- Experience with:
Genetec, Avigilon, Lenel systems - Strong understanding of:
Door wiring (single vs. double door setups), Lock types and functionality (fail‑safe vs. fail‑secure), and Maglock code requirements (egress compliance) - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong troubleshooting and installation skills
- Own basic technician tools
- Consistent attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work full 8‑hour days on‑site
- Willingness to travel within the Atlanta area (site varies weekly)
- Field‑based role (one job site per day)
- Locations may vary week‑to‑week (Atlanta, Covington, Suwanee etc.)
- Physical work required:
- Cable pulling, ladder work, equipment installation
- Strict adherence to safety protocols and PPE requirements
$28/hr to $32/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
