Electric Transportation (ET) Construction Coordinator
Minimum 5 years of experience in NEC system design, estimating, installation, and maintenance. Electrical license for the state of Georgia is required. Travel 50-75% daily.
Job SummaryThe ET Construction Coordinator supports Georgia Power’s strategic objective of implementing the behind‑the‑meter electric transportation make‑ready program. The role coordinates, schedules, and manages the installation and maintenance of electric transportation projects, ensuring all NEC, NESC, and GPC specifications are met.
Education & Experience- Undergraduate degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in NEC system design, estimating, installation, and maintenance.
- Experience with NESC system designs, installations, and repairs.
- Experience managing contractor workforce.
- Electrical license for the state of Georgia is required.
- Facilitate make‑ready designs with Electric Transportation Project Coordinators to meet all safety and code requirements.
- Review contractor estimates and project proposals, ensuring scope of work completeness.
- Conduct pre‑construction job site visits to identify conditions that may affect installation.
- Coordinate pre‑construction meetings with GPC and customer representatives.
- Coordinate with region personnel for installation of equipment and distribution facilities.
- Ensure permits and utility locates are in place before construction begins.
- Review and approve contract labor costs and track labor for each project.
- Manage schedules to meet commitment dates.
- Inspect completed installations and maintenance repairs for compliance.
- Assist personnel with maintenance issues related to GPC‑owned equipment.
- Collaborate effectively with multiple teams across the organization.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
