We provide free training, dedicated guidance, and guaranteed job placement with a professional property management company in the Atlanta metro area. You bring the work ethic and the aptitude — we handle everything else.
Who We're Looking For
This program is designed for two groups of people:
- Skilled tradespeople seeking a career change — with hands-on experience in construction, automotive, handyman, manufacturing, or a similar field
- Veterans transitioning to civilian employment — of any branch, with technical, mechanical, electrical, construction, or maintenance experience
No property management experience required. If you're reliable, motivated, and ready to learn, you're who we're looking for.
The Program
- Free, fully virtual training — no cost to you
- 6-week curriculum — complete on your own schedule while still working your current job
- Guaranteed placement with a professional property management company in the Atlanta metro area upon successful program completion
- Dedicated guidance — Oakmont walks with you every step of the way, from enrollment through your first day on the job and beyond
Compensation & Benefits
- During placement period (up to 12 weeks): $22/hour as an Oakmont employee in a temp-to-hire arrangement
- Upon direct hire by the property management company: $22–$25/hour plus full benefits package
- A clear advancement path — Maintenance Technician, Lead Technician, Maintenance Supervisor — rewards those who show up and grow
What You'll Learn
Our program prepares you to confidently handle the core responsibilities of a Multifamily Maintenance Technician:
- Electrical fundamentals and repairs
- HVAC systems and troubleshooting
- Appliance installation and repair
- Plumbing basics and maintenance
