Maintenance Technician (HVAC)

Dover Staffing is seeking highly qualified applicants for a temporary-to-perm Maintenance Technician (HVAC) positions with our client in the Atlanta area.

Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician (HVAC) is responsible for performing skilled and semi-skilled work associated with the maintenance and repair of the college's facilities and grounds to include:

• Performs a wide variety of maintenance and repair work in relation to the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC equipment, boilers, building equipment, and furnishings.
• Conducts daily rounds of critical equipment and rooms throughout the campus and reports problems to the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Facilities Director.
• Always maintains all engineering and electrical spaces in a clean and neat manner.
• Makes daily checks of and adjustments of thermostats, receiver controllers, controller sensors, automatic control panels, and other related equipment for proper operation.
• Assists in renovation projects as assigned.
• Participates in the repair and maintenance of college equipment and vehicles.
• Uses and maintains a variety of tools, materials, and equipment.
• Maintains required records and logs.
• Assists in moves and event setups throughout the campus as assigned and directed.
• Installs, maintains, or repairs electrical systems and associated hardware.
• Installs, maintains repairs and renovates plumbing hardware.
• Assists with carpentry projects.
• Participates in ground maintenance activities, including installing and maintaining landscaping, and maintaining parking lots.
• Coordinates the work of maintenance and custodial staff as directed by supervisor.
• Responds to emergency requests for repairs; and performs other duties as assigned by the Facilities & Operations Leadership Team.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must possess and demonstrate a high school diploma or equivalent AND One (1) or more years of related work experience.

• A high school degree or GED
  * and* One (1) year of experience in a skilled trade (electrical, carpentry, plumbing) or building maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference may be considered for candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess and demonstrate the following:

• Two (2) or more years of experience as a Maintenance Technician.
• Must HVAC License and/or Certification or the combination of
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
• May be required to work at other locations and other locations within the community.
