Salary: $90,000 - $105,000 annually, based on a 40-hour week

Our client, a well-established BAS and mechanical services general contractor, is expanding its team in Atlanta and is looking for an experienced Niagara Certified BAS Technician.

The Role
As a BAS Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and service of building automation systems across commercial and industrial facilities.
You'll work directly with customers, project teams, mechanical contractors, and other trades to ensure building control systems are operating efficiently and reliably.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, program, commission, and troubleshoot Building Automation Systems (BAS).
- Configure and support Niagara-based control systems.
- Diagnose and resolve issues involving HVAC controls, sensors, actuators, controllers, and communication networks.
- Perform system start-ups, functional testing, and commissioning activities.
- Interpret control drawings, sequences of operation, and mechanical plans.
- Integrate HVAC and mechanical equipment into building automation systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance, service calls, and system upgrades.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, customers, and field teams.
- Provide technical support and clearly communicate system issues and recommended solutions.
- Maintain accurate service records, commissioning documentation, and project notes.
Requirements
- Niagara certification is required.
- Previous hands-on experience working with BAS / HVAC controls.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, and building control sequences.
- Experience troubleshooting controls hardware, software, and communications networks.
- Ability to read and interpret control schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving and customer-facing communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in the field while also collaborating with project teams.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites throughout the Atlanta area.
- $45 - $52 per hour
- $93,600 - $108,160 annual equivalent based on a 40-hour working week
