Our Atlanta facility supports equipment rentals, sales, service, mobile service, upfitting, and parts operations for customers in the utility, telecommunications, construction, forestry, and infrastructure industries.
Hiring a Service Technician / Mechanic to support our vocational and utility equipment.
Schedule Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, overtime available based on business needs.
What you'll work on:
- PMs, diagnostics, repair & inspections
- Truck-mounted utility equipment: boom & bucket trucks, diggers, dump, service, forestry & aerial cranes
- Diesel engines, chassis, hydraulics, electrical & controls
What you need:
- Experience as a mechanic with aerial, construction, or heavy/light-duty trucks
- Valid driver's license & own mechanic tools

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, repair and/or replace damaged or worn parts for variety of manufacturers of utility equipment to ensure quality standards within budget, on a variety of vocational / utility trucks and equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair a variety of medium and heavy-duty trucks such as Freightliner, Peterbilt, Ford.
- Provide repair and maintenance to diesel engines a strong background in hydraulics and electrical is a plus.
- Perform maintenance/emergency repairs on the fuel, brake, electrical and transmission systems.
- Assess, diagnose, repair and/or replace damaged or worn parts for variety of manufacturers of utility equipment to ensure quality standards are achieved.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of parts, services and labor to track costs so vehicles can be properly priced and reflect the value of quality offered by the company.
- Submit all work/repair orders as required to a supervisor for approval to ensure budgets are maintained and costs of vehicle repairs accurately reflected.
- Perform all duties in in accordance with best practices for a safe work environment
- Attend monthly safety meetings held by Custom Truck One Source.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Vocational Technical School or Military Wheeled Mechanic or related training a plus
- Must hold a valid driver's license
- Must have your own tools
