Upchurch is seeking a Mechanical Mission Critical HVAC Service Technician to support high-reliability client environments in the professional, scientific, and technical sectors. In this role, you will service, troubleshoot, and maintain complex HVAC and mechanical systems supporting data centers, labs, and other mission critical facilities. You'll perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, and related equipment while adhering to strict safety and reliability standards.
Working in a collaborative, client-focused culture, you will partner with engineers and client teams, contribute to continuous improvement, and grow your technical expertise across diverse, challenging projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, repair, and maintenance on mission critical HVAC equipment, including chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, and cooling towers.
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance to maximize system reliability and uptime for critical client facilities.
- Respond to service calls, analyze system performance issues, and implement effective corrective actions.
- Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals to support accurate troubleshooting.
- Document service activities, findings, and recommendations in clear, client-ready service reports.
- Collaborate with project engineers and client technical teams to support system upgrades and performance improvements.
- Follow strict safety procedures, industry standards, and client protocols in critical environments.
- Participate in on-call rotations and occasional off-hours work to support 24/7 client operations.
