Job Overview:
AEG Fuels is seeking a skilled GSE Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair Ground Support Equipment (GSE) in Atlanta, Georgia or Cocoa Beach, Florida. This hands-on role helps ensure equipment remains safe, reliable, and ready for service.
The GSE Mechanic performs preventive and corrective maintenance on motorized and non-motorized equipment, troubleshoots mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, and documents completed work. Working with Warehouse Operations leadership, this role prioritizes repairs, reduces downtime, and returns assets to service promptly.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, service, and repair motorized and non-motorized Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
- Troubleshoot gasoline, diesel, electric, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems using diagnostic tools.
- Repair or replace engines, transmissions, brakes, steering components, suspension systems, cooling systems, and starting or charging systems as needed.
- Use hand tools, power tools, meters, scanners, lifts, and other shop equipment safely and effectively.
- Complete work orders documenting inspections, labor, parts, repairs, and equipment status.
- Inspect newly received and returned equipment, identify deficiencies, and recommend required repairs or servicing.
- Perform operational and safety tests following repairs to confirm equipment is ready to return to service.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and prioritize repairs based on safety, operational urgency, and equipment availability.
- Coordinate with Warehouse Operations leadership regarding repair timelines, parts needs, vendor support, and equipment status.
- Assist with sourcing parts and supplies while helping maintain accurate maintenance and parts inventory records.
