Travel Requirements

This is a field-based role requiring regular travel to customer sites and project locations. Travel may be up to 70%, depending on project needs and office support requirements.

Overtime, Travel Pay, and Premium Pay Structure
  • Monday through Friday: The first 8 hours are paid at straight time. Hours worked over 8 and up to 12 hours are paid rs worked over 12 hours are paid at double time.

  • Monday through Friday travel: Travel time is paid at straight time.

  • Saturday: Labor hours are paid urday travel time is also paid at overtime.

  • Sunday: Labor and travel time are paid at double time.

Additional Compensation and Benefits
  • Per diem provided for eligible travel assignments.

  • 5% 401(k) contribution.

  • Sign‑on bonus available for NETA‑certified technicians.

Position Overview

The Field Service Supervisor will help establish and grow a new office presence in Atlanta while supervising and developing a team of electrical testing technicians. This is a hands‑on supervisory role that combines field execution, technician training, crew supervision, customer communication, and operational support for electrical testing and power system service projects.

Key Responsibilities Team Leadership and Office Development
  • Supervise, lead, and develop a team of electrical testing technicians supporting field service projects.

  • Help establish and grow the Atlanta office by supporting field operations, team development, local execution, customer service, and internal coordination.

  • Assist with building a strong local technician team by supporting onboarding, training, mentoring, and performance development.

  • Train junior and mid‑level technicians on testing procedures, safety practices, documentation standards, customer communication, and field professionalism.

  • Support management with planning manpower, equipment, tools, vehicles, and scheduling needs for field service projects.

  • Review field work, test data, and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company and industry standards.

  • Maintain regular communication with company management regarding job progress, project status, crew performance, customer needs, scheduling changes, manpower requirements, and equipment needs.

  • Identify opportunities to improve field processes, technician training, project execution, customer satisfaction, and office performance.

Field Service and Technical Work
  • Perform hands‑on electrical testing, inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance, and commissioning support for power system equipment, including:

    • Protective relays and relay control systems
    • Circuit breakers
    • Power transformers
    • Current transformers and potential transformers
    • Metering equipment, transducers, and power system meters
    • Medium‑ and high‑voltage power cables
    • Grounding systems and ground grids
    • Motors and motor starters
    • Station batteries and battery chargers
    • Alarm panels, annunciators, and related monitoring systems
    • Personal protective equipment
  • Lead field crews on customer sites, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.

  • Diagnose electrical issues, identify equipment or system problems, and assist with determining root cause and corrective actions.

  • Recommend repairs, replacements, additional testing, or corrective measures based on field findings and test results.

  • Prepare and/or review technical reports outlining services performed, deficiencies identified, test results, corrective actions taken, and recommended next steps.

  • Serve as a professional company representative when communicating with customers, contractors, vendors, site personnel, and internal leadership.
