Job Summary

Campus Recreation is seeking a skilled bike mechanic with formal training and hands-on shop experience to provide advanced maintenance, repair, and technical support within the bike repair shop. This is a hands-on, part-time temporary role focused on safe, high-quality service for the Georgia Tech Recreation community. The Certified Lead Bike Mechanic will work alongside full-time Campus Recreation staff and student bike technicians, serving as the primary technical resource while supporting the day-to-day operation of the shop.

Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced bicycle maintenance, diagnostics, adjustments, and repairs, including work on a range of bicycles, e-bikes, and scooters as appropriate to
    ¿ shop capabilities.
  • Serve as a technical resource for student bike technicians and Campus Recreation staff on repair methods, component compatibility, fitting, and bike safety.
  • Review and inspect work completed by student bike technicians before bikes are released to customers, particularly when work involves higher-risk or advanced repairs.
