Haveyoueverheardof Demand Control Kitchen Ventilation (DCKV)?

DCKVistheprocessofmeasuringthelevelofcookingactivityincommercialkitchenhoodsandmodulatingthespeedoftheassociatedexhaustandsupplyfanstobeusedonlyasneeded.

Byadjustingtheseunits,thesecommercialkitchenssaveatremendousamountofenergyintheirelectrical,heating,andcoolingusage.

KESTechniciansperformfullinstallations,service,andrepairsofourDCKVsystemandotherenergyefficientsolutionsincommercialkitchens.

It'sauniquecareerthatcombineselectrical,controls,and problem-solving.

Everyprojectisdifferent,andnotwodaysarethesame.

KESTechnicianswillworktogetherinteamsoftwo,orindividuallytoaccomplishthesetasksoneachjobsite.

Electrical Journeyman’slicenseisrequired,pleasebepreparedtosubmitituponrequest.

DCKVsitsattheintersectionofHVAC,controls,andenergyengineering.

You'renotjustpullingwire,you'retuningVFDs,readingairflowdata,andsolvingproblemsthatdon'thaveapageinatextbookyet.

Ascommercialkitchensmovetowardsmarterventilation,technicianswhounderstandbothmechanicalsystemsandvariablefrequencydrivesarebecomingthepeopleeveryoneelsecallsfirst.

Everycommercialkitchenisacandidateforsmarterventilation,andtheindustryisshortontechnicianswhocaninstallanddiagnosethesesystemscorrectly.

Thisisthefulljob—nosurprisesondayone:

• Installingvarioussensorsdirectlyintothekitchenhoods(drillingintostainlesssteel).
• Installing Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) tomodulatetheassociatedexhaustfansalongwiththeproperpowerwiring(120V/1),(208V/3),(460V/3) asneeded.
• Installingandwiringnewfanmotorsasneeded.
• Installingandwiringnewexhaustfansasneeded,andotherassociatedlowvoltagewiring.
• ProgramandcommissiontheDCKVsystemandtrainthecustomeronfunctionalityandusage.
• Showupsharpandontime
• Communicateeffectivelywithothertradesonsite:controls,plumbing,electrical,mechanical,andmore
• Maintainprofessionaljob-siteetiquetteandfollowOSHAsafetyguidelines
• Reviewjobspecifications,scopeofwork,submittals,blueprints,andsafetyrequirements
• Travel nationwide;mayinvolve3weeksontheroadfollowedby1weekoff,dependingonprojectandcustomerrequirements
• Takepropercareofcompany-provided tools,vehicles,andtestinstruments
• Workisprimarilyovernightshift,withOTandweekendsasneeded.
