Position: Director-Premium Seating & Gifts (Athletics)

Job Summary

Responsible for GT Athletics premium seating and suite sales. Assess, cultivate, solicit, and steward annual gifts from donors identified through the premium seating process. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: donors, staff, and coaches. This position typically will advise and counsel coaches and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive premium seating and suite sales for Georgia Tech Athletics.
  • Create and implement a plan to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors for support of Georgia Tech athletics with a focus on annual gifts and sports programs.
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a pool of major gift prospects.
  • Identify and refer prospective donors of annual gifts to major gift officers.
  • Coordinate and collaborate closely with development officers assigned to regions, colleges, schools, and other campus units as appropriate to facilitate communication with donors.
  • Participate in regular meetings with other members of the Georgia Tech development and Athletics staff.
  • Facilitate interaction among major gift donors and prospective donors with GT AA coaches, staff, and administration.
  • On average, solicits gifts up to $100K, and manages a portfolio size of $25K - $50K and up to 100 prospects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Educational Requirements
    :
    Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Other Required Qualifications
    :
    College or university athletic fund-raising experience.
  • Required Experience
    :
    Three to five years job related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated success in fundraising with a focus on individuals, preferable in athletics at a research university.

Proposed Salary

$75,000 Annually - Salary commensurate with experience and education

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS:

This job requires experience in specialized donor and ticketing software systems. The ability to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward potential annual gift prospects and donors. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of donors and prospective donors; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong strategic planning and organizational skills; strong computer skills; and the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and work well under pressure.
