Position Purpose
The Person al Support Aide plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for individuals experiencing homelessness. This position provides basic care for shelter residents while ensuring adherence to safety protocols, cleanliness standards, and organizational policies. The role requires compassion, consistency, and a strong commitment to serving vulnerable populations, including weekend availability.

Responsibilities- Monitor daily resident activities and document observations during each shift.
- Enforce shelter rules, safety protocols, and cleanliness standards.
- Conduct routine facility walkthroughs to identify safety or maintenance concerns.
- Respond to emergencies and conflicts with professionalism and compassion.
- Assist with distribution of supplies to residents as needed.
- Communicate census updates and key information to shelter and case management staff.
- Collaborate with case managers to support resident needs and goals.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all Mercy Care and Trinity Health policies.
- High School Diploma or GED (required).
- CPR/First Aid certification and valid Georgia Driver’s License (required).
- Preferred:
Experience or education in social services, psychology, or human services. - Preferred:
Experience working with underserved or vulnerable populations.
