ENOTAH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT - State of Georgia - STAR Court Coordinator - JOB VACANCY SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Under limited to broad supervision, manages, coordinates, and directs the clinical and/or social services activities of the Stabilize, Treatment, Acceptance, and Restoration Mental Health Court Program. Provides counseling/therapy to participants requiring complex intervention, including those who are homicidal, suicidal, or exhibit life‑threatening behaviors; determines necessity for involuntary commitment; may execute orders of involuntary commitment; provides clinical training to professional social services staff;

performs assessments for court intervention, legal proceedings, and eligibility determinations. Directly and indirectly supervises a moderate sized staff of social service professionals and para-professionals in the diagnoses, evaluation, and treatment of emotional, cognitive, developmental, behavioral and interpersonal disorders, illnesses, and disabilities.

• Education requirements include Bachelors Degree in Social Work or related field.
• Must be familiar with HIPAA and Federal Confidentiality Rule 42
  
  CFR regulations.
• Experiential requirements include a minimum five years social work and/or mental health treatment experience.
• Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist is required.
• Recordkeeping skills including participant records, mileage logs, and proficiency with excel including spreadsheet creation and maintenance.
• Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge and skills.
• Must be detail‑oriented and work well under pressure.
• Experience in working with criminal justice population, counseling/case management preferred.
• Applicant must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment of the courts under limited supervision.
• Available to serve the entire Judicial Circuit:
  Counties of Lumpkin, Towns, Union and White.
