Job Description

Columbia County Department of Health and Human Services has an opening for a full-time management position in the Children & Families Division overseeing Youth Justice. This position reports directly to the Children & Families Manager. Our mission is to protect children and the community while strengthening families and promoting self-sufficiency. Knowledge of WI State Statute 938 is needed. Primary job responsibilities include supervising youth justice staff and services, ensuring compliance with program objectives, interpreting and implementing state, county, and agency policies and procedures, and continual improvement efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, or other Human Services Program from an accredited university or college, certified as a Social Worker in the State of Wisconsin or eligible to obtain certification, and a minimum of five (5) years of direct service experience working with families in the youth justice field preferred. Requires possession of a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License and personal transportation.

Starting wage: $36.009 per hour, negotiable depending on individual qualifications and experience. Final date to receive applications is September 23, 2026.
