This is a full-time role for a Software Engineer at 3dMD s location in Atlanta, GA. 3dMD is looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual, who is looking for a career development opportunity, to become a team member ensuring that 3dMD’s 3D/4D product portfolio and services continue to be world-class.

The Software Engineer will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions to facilitate 3dMD’s imaging systems and related applications. Daily responsibilities include software development, troubleshooting back-end systems, implementing object-oriented designs, and working closely with the development team to continuously improve software performance and reliability. Additionally, the role will involve standard testing and debugging of software to meet project requirements. Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and healthcare data workflows is highly valued, as it supports integration of 3dMD’s imaging solutions into clinical environments.

• Develop and maintain software applications to support 3dMD’s capture systems and downstream analysis software
• Collaborate cross functionally with software and hardware teams to identify improvements and develop new features
• Clearly communicate design decisions and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Assist in the creation of technical documentation and user guides to support the 3dMD software post-release
• Assist QA and Customer Support Teams

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience
• Applicants must be prepared to provide examples of projects, code repositories, or certifications that demonstrate your skills
• Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Strong knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals and best practices
• Proficient problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to work independently with minimal guidance
• Ability to evaluate customer requirements for feasibility, compatibility, impacts, risks, and time required to implement
• Ability to prototype ideas and implement algorithms
• Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid team environment

• Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems (Epic / Cerner) or healthcare data integration is a strong plus
• Knowledge of Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) framework is a strong plus
• Familiarity with 3D imaging, AI/ML frameworks, or related technologies is a strong plus
• Experience in developing graphics and geometry algorithms for 3D applications is a strong plus
• Experience with software-hardware integration.
