Developer, Cloud Engineer - Software, Software Development

Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Atlanta, GA (Remote). The position delivers high‑performance backend services within an AWS environment.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $60/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Develop scalable microservices and RESTful APIs using Spring Boot, Java, and Python while ensuring adherence to design and coding standards.
• Design, build, and maintain AWS‑based applications, including Lambda functions, API integrations, and triggers using services like S3, Dynamo
  
  DB, SQS, SNS, and Cloud Formation.
• Implement secure cloud solutions by applying AWS best practices such as IAM roles, KMS encryption, and security‑first design principles.
• Create architecture diagrams, design documents, and participate in solution design reviews to define technical approaches and ensure high‑quality delivery.
• Troubleshoot build, deployment, and runtime issues across applications and integrations while collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams in an Agile environment.
• Provide technical mentoring, support CI/CD automation, and ensure smooth application deployment within fast‑paced, results‑driven delivery cycles.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 6–8+ years of hands‑on experience in Spring Boot, Microservices, and AWS cloud development.
• Strong expertise in building microservices using Spring Boot and Java, with proven experience developing APIs and AWS Lambda‑based serverless solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate and manage AWS services (S3, Dynamo
  
  DB, SQS, SNS, Cloud Formation) while creating design documents, troubleshooting deployments, and ensuring security best practices.
